Tarkka Research is run by Andreas Heiner, PhD (theoretical physics, University of Groningen, 1992; Marie Curie Fellow). He was Principal Scientist at Nokia Research Center in Espoo, working on routing, classification and distributed systems, and later worked on semantic search and semantic classification at Impact / Geodesix.

The company does research, files patents and advises.
